President Prabowo Subianto has instructed that Indonesia's waste problem be resolved by the end of 2027. This target is deemed crucial for boosting the nation's tourism sector and attracting more visitors. Prabowo revealed this directive during the Mass KPR Sejahtera Akad event through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme in Batang Regency, Central Java, on Thursday, July 30. "God willing, in one or two years we will make drastic changes. We will control garbage, and by the end of 2027, I ask that the waste problem in Indonesia be finished, brothers and sisters," he stated. He continued, "There will be no more garbage mountains, we will achieve this, we will achieve it." According to Prabowo, tourism is a very large job creator. For this reason, the waste problem must be resolved immediately to attract tourists to visit the country.
