The Department of Justice (DOJ) will continue to pursue cases involving missing cockfight enthusiasts, despite reports that some complainants, who are relatives of the missing individuals, have also disappeared and ceased cooperating with authorities. "We noticed that some of the complainants are missing and have totally stopped speaking and coordinating with us," said DOJ Prosecutor General Richard Anthony Fadullon. He noted that two of the three complainants in cases filed before a court in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, have "disappeared." In San Pablo, Laguna, and Lipa, Batangas, the DOJ remains "no contact" with the complainants. All these cases have been transferred to three courts in Quezon City. Fadullon added that evidence will be presented to oppose bail petitions.
