Union Minister for Electricity and Energy makes inspections in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Ko Ko Lwin inspected the 230 KV Pyinmana Main Substation and Shwemyo Main Substation in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday. During the visit, officials briefed on seasonal power generation, transmission, and distribution, as well as recent grid failures and ongoing preparations to meet electrical demand for the upcoming dry season. Addressing grid stability and upcoming seasonal challenges, the Union Minister outlined several key operational directives including reservoir monitoring, project deadlines, grid reliability, battery energy storage system to prevent blackouts and load management. Following this, the Union Minister toured the control rooms and switchyards of both facilities.
