Vietnam Communist Party Museum Receives Archival Materials from France

The Communist Party of Vietnam Museum has expanded its collection with the donation of historically valuable archival materials from France. These materials offer crucial insights into the early stages of Vietnam's independence movement and the establishment of its Communist Party. Among the donated items is a reproduction of the front page of the August 24, 1945 issue of the 'National Salvation Newspaper' (Cuu Quoc). This newspaper, previously circulated in handwritten form, marked its first publicly printed edition and featured the Vietnamese national flag. Additionally, documents and reports detailing the activities of Nguyen Ai Quoc (later Ho Chi Minh) related to the establishment and orientation of the Communist Party of Annam are included, providing vital understanding of the ideological and organizational foundations of early Vietnam. These materials concretely illustrate the process through which Vietnam sought independence from France and the formation of the Communist Party as a political organization. Under its one-party system, the Communist Party's history forms the bedrock of the nation's legitimacy and development.
