New US Ambassador to Cambodia Arrives, Focusing on Strengthening Bilateral Ties and Economic Cooperation

US Secretary of State has sworn in Ambassador Christopher Anderson, who will lead the US Embassy in Cambodia. Ambassador Anderson is tasked with advancing US-Cambodia relations to a new chapter, promoting American interests while supporting Cambodia's increased strength and prosperity, according to a statement from the US Embassy. Ambassador Anderson, a former US Army soldier, will focus his work in Phnom Penh on expanding trade and investment, strengthening security cooperation, and working with Cambodian partners to combat fraud networks that have stolen billions of dollars from American citizens and people around the world. The US Embassy added, "Please join us in extending a warm welcome and best wishes to Ambassador Anderson as he prepares to travel to the Kingdom of Cambodia."
