DOJ: PCG commandant's 3-year term cannot be extended
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has ruled that the three-year term of Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan cannot be extended, even through reappointment or temporary designation by the President. The department cited the PCG law's provision for a "maximum term."
