The second coordination meeting of the Central Committee for organizing the 2026 (79th) Martyrs' Day Ceremony was held Monday at the Mingalar Hall of the Yangon Region Government Office. The meeting was attended by Union Minister for Hotels, Tourism, and Culture U Maung Myint, who serves as the Chairman of the Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Committee and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, Union Election Commission member U Than Htut Thein, deputy ministers invited guests and officials from respective subcommittees. During the meeting, the Union Minister delivered an opening address, followed by briefings from the Region Chief Minister and Central Committee members regarding the work implementation progress for organizing the 79th Martyrs' Day Ceremony. Officials from the working committee and subcommittees, along with other attendees, then participated in collective discussions and suggestions. Afterward, the Union Minister reviewed and discussed the presentations, concluding with a call for everyone to collaborate and work together closely to successfully host the 79th Martyrs' Day Ceremony without any difficulties, it’s reported.
