Edcom 2 Launches Online Platform for Literacy and Stunting Data
The Second Congressional Commission on Education (Edcom 2) in the Philippines has launched the "Early Childhood Dashboard," an online platform designed to aid in crafting early childhood development policies. The platform disseminates data on child stunting and literacy issues nationwide.
MANILA, Philippines — The Second Congressional Commission on Education (Edcom 2) has launched an online platform that aims to guide government and school officials in crafting policies on early childhood development. Edcom 2’s Early Childhood Dashboard, launched on Saturday, discloses data on stunted children and struggling readers in the country—in particular, the number and percentage of children who are stunted and those who have difficulty reading. The dashboard is expected to provide more concrete and data-driven information that will be useful in the formulation and implementation of policies for early childhood education. With this, the commission hopes to accelerate efforts to improve the quality of education and support the development of children in the country. Information Source: Inquirer NewsInfo
