
Cambodia Highlights UPR's Importance in Human Rights Report, Addresses Thai Border Issues
Keo Remy, Chairman of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee, stated that the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the UN Human Rights Council is the sole mechanism for human rights dialogue among member states. Speaking at a seminar on the UPR national report in Banteay Meanchey province on May 27, 2026, he highlighted Cambodia's active participation in four UPR cycles and its acceptance of numerous recommendations. He also touched upon human rights advocacy concerning border issues with Thailand.
