Udon Thani Flora Expo 2026 Expected to Boost Tourism to Kam Chanoat

The International Flora Expo 2026, set to be held in Udon Thani province in northeastern Thailand, is expected to bring significant economic benefits to the region, particularly to Kam Chanoat, a well-known spiritual tourist destination. According to MGR Online (Regional) reports, an increase in visitors to Kam Chanoat is anticipated, driven by participants and attendees of the Flora Expo. Kam Chanoat is revered in Thai folk beliefs as a sacred site, attracting numerous pilgrims and tourists. To maximize this ripple effect, Udon Thani provincial authorities are planning road improvement projects to enhance accessibility to Kam Chanoat. Specifically, plans include the development and expansion of 60-70 kilometers of main roads around Kam Chanoat, aiming to make it easier for a larger number of tourists to visit. This infrastructure development is intended to further elevate Kam Chanoat from a place of worship to a more prominent international tourist destination. The tourism promotion measures, in conjunction with the Flora Expo, are expected to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and enhance the appeal of regional tourism in Thailand.
