Cambodia Eyes Expanded Air Connectivity with Korean Air

Cambodia's Ambassador to the Republic of Korea held a meeting with executives from Korean Air, emphasizing the airline's significant role in the nation's air transport sector. This collaboration contributes to the maintenance and expansion of air services connecting the capital, Phnom Penh, with Seoul and major U.S. cities. On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, H.E. Khoun Phon Ratanak, Cambodia's Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, paid a courtesy call and held discussions with Mr. WOO Keehong, Vice President and CEO of Korean Air, at the company's headquarters in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, Republic of Korea. During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on the latest developments in travel patterns between Cambodian and Korean citizens utilizing Korean Air flights. Ambassador Khoun highlighted that Korean Air has been playing a crucial role in Cambodia's air transport sector by connecting Phnom Penh with Seoul, as well as major U.S. cities such as New York, Boston, and Washington D.C. The Ambassador expressed his confidence that Korean Air will continue to maintain and expand its aviation market presence in Cambodia as the leading airline of Korea.
