Thai woman arrested in Japan with meth hidden in coffee packets

A Thai woman has been arrested in Japan for drug possession. This customer had used her services once before several months ago, leading the woman and her boyfriend to accept the package without suspicion, alongside other items for different clients. However, upon arriving at Fukuoka Airport on the morning of July 12, airport officials randomly selected her luggage for inspection. During the inspection, methamphetamine was found concealed within coffee packets inside the parcel. She was immediately taken into custody. Her boyfriend and the accompanying friend were invited for questioning and were released on the same day. The boyfriend stated that he was unaware of the situation until several days later when his girlfriend's family received a letter from the Thai consulate informing them that she was being prosecuted for drug importation. Upon learning of the incident, the family promptly filed a report with the Bang Bua Thong Police Station and requested CCTV footage from their village to identify who delivered the parcel. All evidence has been submitted to the police to expedite the investigation into those involved.
