Cambodian Official Encourages High School Students with Scholarships and Prizes

On the morning of July 19, 2026, Mr. Hem Sovath, a member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party and head of the party's working group for the Koh Sotin commune in Kampong Cham province, visited Koh Sotin High School. He met with students preparing for the upcoming Upper Secondary School Diploma Examination (Bak Doep), presenting them with study materials and some financial aid to encourage them to achieve even better results. Mr. Hem Sovath also offered his best wishes and encouragement to the students preparing for the upcoming examination, hoping they would all achieve good grades. Notably, he promised to award one motorcycle to each student who achieves an 'A' grade. This initiative is understood to reflect the Cambodian government's policy of aiming for regional development through investment in education.
