AIIB Commits $200M for Metro Manila Flood Control
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has secured a $200-million funding commitment from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) for five priority flood catchment projects. Targeting completion by June 2027, the initiative will incorporate "sponge city" concepts like underground reservoirs and permeable sidewalks.
