Python Causes Stir at Jomtien Noodle Shop

PATTAYA, Thailand – Customers and staff at Doo Dee Noodle Shop on Jomtien Beach Road received an unexpected visitor on July 20 when a large python was found inside the restaurant. At 1:53 p.m., Pattaya City Fire Station (Jomtien District) dispatched inspection vehicle 410 with trained officers after receiving a report of a snake inside the popular noodle shop. Officers discovered a python measuring approximately two meters long and with a thick body. The reptile was safely captured and removed from the premises without injury. Officials reminded residents and business owners not to attempt catching reptiles themselves, especially unfamiliar snakes, as improper handling can put both people and the animal at risk. Wildlife encounters can happen unexpectedly in urban areas, and trained personnel have the proper equipment and experience to safely remove animals while reducing danger to the public.
