On August 3, 2026, His Excellency Thong Hak, Minister of Tourism, led a task force meeting to review progress and address various irregularities within the tourism sector. The objective is to strengthen the efficiency of management and the enforcement of relevant laws in the tourism industry. The meeting was attended by approximately 40 officials, including the Permanent Secretary of State, Secretaries of State, Undersecretaries of State, Directors General, and technical officers from units under the Ministry's purview. This task force plays a crucial role and is responsible for gathering information, studying, investigating, and verifying facts related to irregularities in the tourism sector.
