State President U Min Aung Hlaing Departs for Cambodia on State-Level Friendship Visit at the Invitation of the King of Cambodia

At the invitation of the King of Cambodia, State President U Min Aung Hlaing has begun his state-level friendship visit to Cambodia this morning (September 11). State President U Min Aung Hlaing is visiting Cambodia on a state-level friendship visit (State Visit) at the invitation of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, the King of Cambodia. During the visit, State President U Min Aung Hlaing will hold top-level discussions with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the Interim Head of State of Cambodia, and will also hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, it is reported. These discussions will focus on further strengthening the existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Cambodia, expanding cooperation that will bring mutual benefits to both countries, and exchanging views on regional and international affairs of common interest to both nations. Furthermore, the State President will lay wreaths and pay respects at the Independence Monument in Phnom Penh and at the Royal Statue of the late King Father of Cambodia, Norodom Sihanouk, "Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh," according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia. The statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia also stated that this state-level friendship visit by State President U Min Aung Hlaing is a trip that reaffirms the joint commitment of both countries to further strengthen the existing warm friendship between the peoples of Myanmar and Cambodia.
