8888 Uprising 38th Anniversary Ceremony Held on Thai Border

YT (August 8) Mizzima. The 38th anniversary ceremony of the 8888 People's Democracy Uprising was held today (August 8) at a location on the Thai-Myanmar border. The ceremony was attended by revolutionary leaders from various generations of political activists, elders, and youths, and was held with 11 programs. Furthermore, responsible persons from various generations of revolutionaries who attended delivered commemorative speeches. Slogans such as "May the military perish," "May all oppressed peoples be liberated," and "May the spirit of 8888 live forever" were chanted, and attendees sang songs such as "Blood Oath," "Star," and "The World Has Not Yet Ended" in unison.
