Medan Luxury Home Explosion: One Suspect Named as Investigation Continues

Police have identified one suspect in connection with the explosion that occurred at a luxury home in the Grand Polonia area of Medan, North Sumatra. Medan Police Chief Kombes Jean Calvijn Simanjuntak stated that the investigation into the incident is progressing and one suspect has been named. However, he declined to provide further details regarding the suspect's identity or affiliations, indicating that comprehensive information would be released at a later date. The explosion took place on July 20, tragically resulting in three fatalities. Following the incident, police conducted an on-site investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that the explosion was likely triggered by a gas leak from an underground pipeline belonging to PT PGN (Perusahaan Gas Negara), Indonesia's state-owned natural gas company. The leak point has also been identified. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine if any other individuals were involved in the incident.
