Takhmao City Police Arrest 5 Suspects in Drug and Theft Cases, Intensifying Crackdown for Security
In Takhmao City, Cambodia, five individuals have been arrested on suspicion of drug use and theft. Police plan to continue intensifying crackdowns on all types of crime to maintain community safety and order.
In Takhmao City, Cambodia, police authorities have arrested five suspects in connection with drug use and theft. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to maintain security, safety, and order within the community. Under the command of Major General Chhoeun Sokchith, Director of the Kandal Provincial Police, and the daily leadership of Colonel Yy Vanna, Inspector of Takhmao City Police Inspectorate, specialized forces, in collaboration with the Kampong Sannyei Administrative Police Post and the Takhmao Administrative Police Post, conducted an operation on July 25, 2026. This operation led to the arrest of five individuals suspected of using illegal narcotics and committing property theft. As a result of the investigation, authorities apprehended a total of five suspects and confiscated evidence including two metal swords and some drug paraphernalia used by the suspects. Additionally, stolen items such as one television (AKAI brand), one wood drilling machine, one power strip, and one disc player, which belonged to victims, were recovered and returned to their rightful owners. Currently, the case file for the involved suspects is being built by the specialized unit and has been forwarded to the Kandal Provincial Court Prosecutor's Office for legal proceedings. The Takhmao City Police Inspectorate reiterates its commitment to continue strengthening patrols, investigations, and crackdowns on all types of criminal offenses to ensure better security, safety, and social order for the citizens.
