Cambodia's Central Bank Governor Visits Provincial Infrastructure Project

On September 9, 2026, H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, presided over a ceremony to celebrate new achievements in Prasat Sambor district, Kampong Thom province. She met with authorities and residents, particularly marking the inauguration of a new stone bridge crossing the Sen River, which connects Chhuk and Srelov communes. This new bridge is expected to significantly facilitate travel and the transportation of agricultural products and other goods, thereby improving the living environment for the residents in the area. Dr. Chea Serey highlighted the Royal Government's commitment, under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Maha Bouvorn Thipadei Hun Manet, to addressing the welfare and livelihoods of the people. She noted the government's continuous promotion of public infrastructure development to meet local needs, exemplified by the Ministry of Rural Development's construction of this bridge to link Chhuk and Srelov communes for year-round public use. In addition to the new stone bridge, Prasat Sambor district has seen the completion and use of numerous other public works, including roads, school buildings, libraries, and toilets.
