Long Thanh Airport Recruits 250 Staff Ahead of Commercial Operations

This marks the fourth recruitment drive aimed at supporting the trial operations scheduled for September. According to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the entity responsible for airport operations, an additional 80 individuals have been hired, bringing the total to 250. These new employees are described as possessing high-quality skills essential for the initial stages of airport operation. Since April, ACV has been recruiting for seven groups of positions, including aviation safety specialists, safety officers, service quality control specialists, drivers and ground equipment operators, fire safety personnel, and maintenance and technical equipment operation staff. Applicants were required to be Vietnamese citizens with a high school education or higher, meeting specific professional, language, and certification requirements for each role. Long Thanh International Airport is a massive project spanning approximately 5,000 hectares with a total investment of nearly $16 billion USD. Phase 1 is designed to handle 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo annually. Upon full operation, it is projected to create approximately 14,000 jobs. The project owner aims to complete all construction by the end of September for trial operations, followed by commercial flights commencing on December 1.
