In total, 13 graduates have secured spots for postgraduate medical training at esteemed institutions across the country. Furthermore, many graduates from this first batch are still in the process of applying for residency programs and postgraduate studies at other prominent institutions, such as Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam National University, Hanoi - University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Residency training in medicine is considered a highly selective postgraduate program, demanding candidates to possess strong professional competence, clinical reasoning, scientific research skills, and professional ethics. In addition to the residency admissions, the first cohort of medical doctors from Dai Nam University achieved a timely graduation rate of 95.4%. Among them, one student graduated with honors, 27 with distinction, 53 with good grades, and two with satisfactory grades. Many of the newly graduated doctors have already been recruited by hospitals and healthcare facilities, while others are pursuing further postgraduate studies to enhance their expertise. Associate Professor Dr. Đào Thị Thu Giang, President of Dai Nam University, stated that the success of the first medical doctor cohort provides a strong foundation for the university to continue investing in the health sector, developing its faculty, expanding practical training facilities, and fostering greater cooperation in education. She emphasized the university's goal of training doctors with excellent professional skills, medical ethics, research capabilities, and the capacity for continuous learning at higher academic levels. Professor Hoàng Đức Hạnh, Head of the Faculty of Medicine and former Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health, noted that the outcomes of the first cohort are indicative of the training quality. He highlighted that the acceptance of 13 students into residency programs, including a specialty valedictorian, reflects the competence of the graduates. The Faculty of Medicine's curriculum is designed to enhance clinical practice in hospitals while emphasizing medical ethics, communication skills, and research abilities to prepare students for the professional environment.
