Vietnamese Star Chi Pu Shines at Pan-Asian Cultural Exchange Gala

Vietnamese singer and actress Chi Pu was a distinguished guest at the Weibo Cultural Communication Night 2026, held in Malaysia on August 1. Organized by Chinese social media giant Weibo, the event brought together prominent figures from across Asia to foster cultural exchange. Chi Pu, the sole Vietnamese artist invited, graced the red carpet in a custom-designed lotus-inspired pink gown by Vietnamese designer Do Long. The dress, crafted from delicate silk organza, featured a sculpted corset and flowing silhouette, accentuating her elegance. Her look was completed with a high updo and sweet makeup. Since winning the popular Chinese reality show "Sisters Who Make Waves" (Đạp gió) in 2023, Chi Pu has garnered immense popularity in China. Over the past three years, she has participated in numerous events and performed on large stages in the country, also releasing Mandarin-language music that has been well-received. At the gala, Chi Pu was honored with the "Charming and Multi-talented Artist on Stage" award. Organizers praised her versatility, ranging from actress to singer, and her captivating stage presence that resonates with audiences across many nations. The event also saw the attendance of other notable Asian celebrities, including Thai superstar Baifern Pimchanok, Hong Kong TVB actor Tony Wong, Chinese actors Ren Jialun and Li Chen, Malaysian singer Tai An Vu, and Chinese actress Wang Helun, all recognized for their contributions to the entertainment industry.
