Vietnam Promotes International Exchange in Culture, Economy, and Sports

Vietnam is accelerating efforts to deepen international cooperation in the fields of culture, economy, and sports. Notably, overseas Vietnamese communities play a crucial role in fostering friendly relations and mutual understanding with host countries, serving as an important element in Vietnam's diplomacy. In terms of economic cooperation, Japan's strengths in technology, manufacturing, high-tech agriculture, and digital transformation are identified as aligning with Vietnam's development needs. Domestically, the reorganization of administrative units is creating new development spaces, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable growth. In cultural heritage preservation, museums and cultural organizations are leveraging technology to pass down traditional culture and create new economic opportunities. For instance, Son La province is implementing initiatives to link traditional culture with sustainable tourism, aiming to revitalize the local economy. In the sports sector, Vietnam is increasing its presence on the international stage through participation in events like the Kun Khmer Championship in Cambodia, the success of Vietnamese esports teams in international competitions, and qualification matches for the U20 Asian Cup. Furthermore, hosting Miss World 2026 and organizing the Moc Chau Cultural Tourism Week aim to showcase Vietnam's natural landscapes and cultural heritage to the world, thereby attracting tourists. These activities demonstrate Vietnam's commitment to strengthening its ties with the international community and pursuing sustainable development while balancing economic growth and cultural exchange.
