Taiwan Showcases Smart Agri-Tech in Manila to Boost Productivity

MANILA, Philippines — Taiwanese firms will showcase smart farming technologies, including agricultural robots and livestock systems, at a trade show in Manila this week, aiming to modernize Philippine agriculture and boost farm productivity. The Taiwan Expo 2026 will feature an Agritech and Food Pavilion where companies will exhibit the latest technologies designed to improve farm efficiency, enhance livestock management, and increase food production. Among the solutions expected are autonomous mobile robots (ARMs) designed to reduce repetitive manual labor and smart livestock environmental control systems that can help farms monitor and manage the conditions of their poultry and swine operations. "The technologies could provide relevant options for Philippine agricultural businesses dealing with the continuing need to raise output, improve resource efficiency, modernize production, and strengthen the resilience of food supply chains," said Taiwan Expo organizers. The showcase of modern agricultural technologies comes as the Philippines is scaling up investments in agricultural transformation with the goal of modernizing local farms. In addition to technologies, the pavilion will also feature premium orchids, high-mountain teas, and classic Taiwanese specialty foods, offering local players opportunities to discover products seeking access to the local market. Other agriculture-related products and services, including organic products and cold chain technologies, are also expected. The firms participating in the pavilion include Bestak Self-Adhesives Inc., Energy Titan Co. Ltd., Forever Sweety Sugar Trade Co., Ho Ching Biotech Co. Ltd. Jahau Agricultural Production Ltd. and Jey Hing International Co. Ltd. The other exhibitors in the pavilion are K.K.Orchard Co. Ltd., Lytone Enterprise Inc., MIC Meter Industrial Company, Taiwan Orchid Growers Association, Yung-An Tea Co. Ltd., YYY Enterprise Inc. and Zi Yuan Rice Husking Factory Ltd. The Taiwan Expo will run from Sept. 17 to 19 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, bringing together over 125 Taiwanese enterprises across seven specialized pavilions. The 2025 edition of the expo attracted more than 10,000 visitors and buyers and generated approximately $53.4 million in business opportunities.
