NGV Station Blast in Chonburi Traps Worker Under Rubble

SRI RACHA, Thailand – Emergency teams rushed to an NGV station on Chonburi’s Highway 331 on July 20 after an explosion caused part of the building to collapse, trapping one worker inside. At around 4 p.m., Pol. Col. Krit Thititatsana, superintendent of Bowin Police Station, was alerted to the explosion at the PTT NGV station located along Road 331 toward the Pak Ruam intersection. Police, investigators, and disaster prevention officials quickly arrived at the scene to assist. Authorities found signs of a powerful blast, with concrete panels, walls, and debris scattered across the area. One employee was reported trapped inside the affected room, with the extent of injuries not immediately known. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation. Forensic officials will examine the scene to determine what triggered the blast.
