Vietnam's Public Security Ministry Conducts 'Gratitude' Activities in An Giang Province

A delegation from the Central Public Security Party Committee, led by Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen, a member of the Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, conducted 'gratitude' activities in An Giang Province on July 25. These activities are based on the spirit of 'gratitude and repaying favors' (Đền ơn đáp nghĩa), a principle highly valued by the Communist Party of Vietnam, aiming to support individuals who have sacrificed for the nation and their families. Specifically, visits and donations of goods were made to the families of fallen soldiers and those who contributed to maintaining social safety and order. In Vietnam, showing respect and gratitude to those who contributed to nation-building, particularly after periods of war, is considered a crucial element in fostering social cohesion and stability. The involvement of security agencies like the Ministry of Public Security in such initiatives is intended to boost national morale and cultivate trust in the government. During the An Giang event, 20 gifts from the Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense were presented to families facing hardship. Additionally, housing was handed over to individuals who contributed to maintaining local safety and order. This aligns with policies under Vietnam's one-party system, recognizing social stability as a foundation for economic growth. Vietnam is currently experiencing rapid economic development while also facing geopolitical tensions and domestic socio-economic challenges. In this context, 'gratitude' activities aimed at promoting national unity and loyalty are of significant importance to the government.
