Khmer Mart New Branch Opens, Boosting Local Product Promotion
A business-to-business meeting led by Ms. Chip Yuthary, President of the Cambodia-International Economic Cooperation Association, was held to promote Cambodian products. As a result, Khmer Mart will sell Cambodian soup bases, Watt Tumrum, and rice across all its branches.
In the afternoon of September 24, 2026, Ms. Chip Yuthary, President of the Cambodia-International Economic Cooperation Association, led a business-to-business (B2B) meeting aimed at promoting Cambodian products and enhancing national prestige. The meeting was attended by manufacturers of Cambodian soup bases, Watt Tumrum, and rice, as well as representatives from Khmer Mart, a retail business. As a result of the meeting, Khmer Mart pledged to sell Cambodian soup bases, Watt Tumrum, and rice at all of its branches throughout the Kingdom of Cambodia. This initiative is expected to increase the distribution and recognition of Cambodian products within the domestic market. Ms. Chip Yuthary congratulated Khmer Mart on the opening of its new branch in Gork Klen and highly praised the company's efforts to promote Cambodian products. She also encouraged domestic producers to further invigorate their production activities. This initiative is positioned as part of the Cambodian government's policy to foster domestic industries. In particular, circulating high-value-added products such as processed agricultural goods and traditional crafts in the domestic market can lead to the revitalization of the domestic economy and job creation. The strengthening of a system where retailers like Khmer Mart collaborate with domestic producers to offer high-quality Cambodian products to consumers is an important step towards sustainable economic development.
