Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, stated that during the limited meeting, the President requested a report from ST Burhanuddin. "Officially, we can report that as of yesterday, Tuesday the 14th, the Attorney General has officially sent a letter to the President to propose a name to replace the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) who resigned some time ago," said Prasetyo at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (15/7/2026). Prasetyo also confirmed that the name Kuntadi was submitted to the palace. "Based on the letter, yes," he explained. He mentioned that there were indeed several names proposed by the Attorney General. "Yes, but I apologize, I don't remember each name or their position. When the results are decided, we will certainly convey them to the media and the public," he said. Regarding the issuance of the Presidential Decree (Keppres) for the appointment of the new Jampidsus, he stated that the government will expedite the discussion process at the Final Assessment Team (TPA) level. "We ask for time to process it, because there is indeed a mechanism for the Final Assessment Team. So, because the letter just arrived yesterday, today we will immediately follow up on what was proposed by the Attorney General," he said.
