Bago Region Wins Two Awards at China-ASEAN Expo

The Bago Region won the 'Best Exhibition Organizer Award' and the 'Best National Pavilion Award' at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (2026), held in Nanning, China, from September 17th to 21st, according to the Bago Region government. Myanmar's Vice President U Nyo Saw, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, and relevant officials attended the expo. This year, Bago City was selected as Myanmar's 'City of Charm' pavilion, and the region's cultural dance troupes performed the Pyu culture dance, free verse dance, Myanmar's traditional Thingyan (Water Festival) dance, and Myanmar's Thanaka cultural dances. To help Bago Region's agricultural products gain more market access in China and ASEAN countries, to expand tourism in the Bago Region, and to attract foreign investment, the Bago Region exhibited 10 pavilions. The remaining regions and states exhibited 71 pavilions.
