Cambodian Ministry of Labor Urges Public to Identify Factories with Inappropriate Language

The Cambodian Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training has requested the public to identify specific factories where inappropriate language and behavior have been reported on social media. Sun Mesa, spokesperson for the ministry, stated that if the factory in question is identified, specialized officials will investigate the matter. The ministry also reiterated its call to business owners, factory managers, employers, and all levels of staff to maintain appropriate conduct and language. Furthermore, it urged workers to contact the hotline number 1286 in cases of inappropriate language or behavior, or poor working conditions at their workplaces. This issue highlights the importance of improving working conditions and fostering smooth communication between businesses and employees in Cambodia. Given the increasing visibility of workers' voices due to the spread of social media, the authorities appear to be attempting a swift response.
