Cambodia's Health Ministry Highlights Increased Public Trust in Healthcare Services, Showcases Model Health Center
Cambodia's Minister of Health, Prof. Chheang Ra, stated that health facilities have increased public trust and are providing services according to needs. During an online conference, health officials discussed the success of the "Svay Chhuk Health Center" in Kampong Chhnang province as a model of collaboration.
Minister of Health Prof. Chheang Ra stated that health facilities have increased public trust and are providing services according to needs. He made these remarks during the 121st Leadership and Innovation Training Course, held via video conference on the afternoon of June 30, 2026, with 3117 health officials from all levels under the Ministry of Health participating. Initially, the Minister expressed gratitude to all health officials for their efforts in providing health services, which have received positive evaluations from the government leadership. He urged health officials to maintain this positive image sustainably. He then raised the topic of setting goals in planning, which requires understanding the current situation first and having the courage to set future goals. Additionally, he noted that planning also requires consideration of priorities, focusing on the urgency and importance of those goals. The working group from the Svay Chhuk Health Center, under the Department of Health of Kampong Chhnang Provincial Administration, presented their work achievements, leading to its status as a model health center. The Svay Chhuk Health Center emphasized that unity among the health center staff and good cooperation between the health center and the commune authorities of Svay Chhuk are the strengths of the center. As a result of this good cooperation, the Svay Chhuk Health Center has received strong support from all levels of authorities, the community, and the Kampong Tralach Operational District Health Office in its development into a national model health center.
