Laos, Norway Foreign Ministers Reaffirm Commitment to Stronger Bilateral Cooperation

On the sidelines of the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Manila, the Philippines, the Foreign Ministers of Laos and Norway reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation. The two ministers welcomed the opportunity to enhance relations and expressed satisfaction with the steady development of Laos-Norway ties since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1991. They agreed to further enhance cooperation, particularly in the fields of economic development, technology, and innovation, with the aim of delivering more tangible benefits to both countries. The ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation in areas of shared concern.
