Mondulkiri Province Ranks First Nationally in High School Exams; Top Students Receive Motorcycles

Mondulkiri Province has achieved the highest pass rate in the national high school graduation exams, ranking first nationwide for the examination held on August 10-11, 2026. To celebrate this remarkable achievement, the provincial administration organized a ceremony to honor and award motivational prizes to students who passed the examination with grades of A, B, and C, held on the morning of September 12, 2026, at the Friendship Building of the Mondulkiri Provincial Hall. On this occasion, HE Kong Kimny, the provincial governor, emphasized that this brilliant success stems from the diligent efforts of the students, the dedicated training provided by teachers, the support from parents and guardians, and the active implementation of key measures in educational reform by the government of the 7th mandate, under the visionary leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The governor advised and requested all students to continue their hard work in higher education and specialized fields to acquire knowledge and contribute to the development of their families and the nation. He also urged parents and teachers to continue supporting future generations of students to further uphold the reputation and pride of Mondulkiri Province. According to a report from Mr. Ly Samith, Director of the Provincial Department of Education, Youth, and Sport, for the 2025-2026 academic year, Mondulkiri Province had a total of 768 candidates (469 females) taking the high school diploma examination. The results showed that 727 candidates (455 females) passed, representing 94.66% of all candidates, thus securing the province's first-place ranking nationwide. Among them, 225 ethnic minority candidates (153 females) passed, with a pass rate of 97.01%. The results by grade included 5 students (3 females) with Grade A, 45 students (25 females) with Grade B, and 151 students (107 females) with Grade C. To encourage outstanding students and teachers, the provincial governor presented prizes and financial support. The 5 students who achieved Grade A each received a motorcycle. Students with Grade B received 200,000 Riels (approximately $50 USD) each, and students with Grade C received 150,000 Riels (approximately $37.50 USD) each.
