Zambales Flooded by Monsoon Rains; Over 2,800 Evacuated
Continuous heavy rains from the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) have flooded riverine and coastal areas in Zambales, Philippines, forcing the evacuation of 2,876 residents. Lahar flows from Mount Pinatubo also damaged a bridge and dike in some areas.
