Giulio Chinappi, a political analyst from the Centre for Mediterranean Eurasia Studies (CeSEM) in Italy, told the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) that these trips successfully linked the solid legacy of traditional friendship with a modern foreign policy vision that directly serves Vietnam’s future development needs. The visit to Russia was particularly timely, coinciding with the two countries nearing 75 years of diplomatic relations. This engagement successfully bridged the robust traditional friendship with a contemporary foreign policy aimed at meeting Vietnam’s future development imperatives. Vietnam and Russia issued a joint statement on further strengthening ties in the new period and agreed to develop a roadmap for cooperation in quantum technology. Meanwhile, the visit to France focused on deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
