AA-led forces launch offensive into military camp near Mathone village, ammonia acid convoys for defense factories rerouted

Convoys transporting ammonia acid, which is essential for the arms and ammunition production factories of the elected government's military in Htan Taung Township, Bago Region, are no longer daring to use the regularly used Yangon-Pyay road and are instead being rerouted along the Pathein-Monywa road through Ayeyarwaddy Region, according to local sources. Ground clashes have intensified again since September 4th within the perimeter of the Nyang Cho Yoe base, and on the morning of September 5th, Arakan Army (AA) and allied forces launched an offensive, penetrating as far as the vicinity of the military's Kaekhan Ataunt Taunnyo Gyi camp near Mathone village. It is understood that due to casualties among military personnel in these battles, continuous heavy artillery support has been provided from the defense material factory KaPeSa-16, based in Mathone village, and KaPeSa-9, based in Kyaukphoo village, along with air support. "Arakan Army and allied forces have launched an offensive near the Kaekhan Ataunt Taunnyo Gyi camp near Mathone village. We will have to wait and see how closely the allied forces, who have established a firm foothold during the dry season, can penetrate into the KaPeSa factory areas," a ground military source told the Irrawaddy Times. According to military analysts, as the revolutionary allied forces are increasingly encroaching closer to the KaPeSa factory areas, which are the main producers of the military's arms and ammunition, the military's factory security and transportation routes are facing numerous challenges.
