Bun Rany Hun Sen Donates $100,000 to Nepal Flood Relief Efforts
Samdech Kittipreah Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, has decided to donate US$100,000 to the Nepal Red Cross to support humanitarian operations in response to devastating floods on the Nepal-China border, following an appeal from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
AKP Phnom Penh, September 4, 2026 -- In response to the appeal from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Samdech Kittipreah Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, has decided to donate US$100,000 to support the humanitarian operations of the Nepal Red Cross in response to the flood disaster on the Nepal-China border. It is to be noted that immediately after the flood disaster on the border of China and Nepal on August 26, 2026, Samdech Kittipreah Bun Rany Hun Sen was deeply shocked and expressed her deepest condolences for the natural disaster, which caused more than 1,000 deaths, thousands missing, and over 10,000 residents displaced to safer areas, as well as causing severe damage to important assets and infrastructure. Samdech Kittipreah Bun Rany Hun Sen and all colleagues of the Cambodian Red Cross wish for a swift recovery in the affected areas and wish all Nepalese people good health and success in their work.
