KRL Bogor Line Disrupted by Derailment at Jakarta Kota Station

A Commuter Line (KRL) train operating between Bogor and Jakarta Kota experienced operational disruptions on Friday morning, September 4, 2026, due to a derailment incident. The incident caused significant delays for passengers. Leza Arlan, Manager of Public Relations at KAI Commuter, stated that the derailment occurred with Commuter Line No. 1203 as it was entering track 9 at Jakarta Kota Station. Arlan confirmed that all passengers aboard the affected train have been safely evacuated and are unharmed. "All users who were on board the Commuter Line have been evacuated and are all in safe condition," he explained. To mitigate the impact of the delays, KAI Commuter has implemented operational adjustments. Commuter Line services from Bogor are temporarily limited to Jayakarta Station and Manggarai Station, from where trains will return to Bogor. For passengers at Jakarta Kota Station heading to Bogor, services are being provided via tracks 10 or 11. Personnel and rescue trains have been dispatched to the site to handle the recovery process. As of 08:44 AM Western Indonesian Time, KAI Commuter is working to restore normal operations. KAI Commuter has issued an apology for the inconvenience caused by the incident.
