Thai Government Invites Schools to Join Australia-ASEAN Partnership Program

The Thai government, through the Ministry of Education, is inviting Thai educational institutions to participate in the Australia-ASEAN Building Relationships through Intercultural Dialogue and Growing Engagement (BRIDGE) School Partnership Program 2026-2027. This initiative aims to foster international networks between Thai schools and those in Australia and ASEAN countries. The program offers opportunities for Thai educators and students to engage in exchanges, learning, and collaborative activities with schools in Australia and ASEAN member states, excluding Indonesia and Myanmar. It is supported by the ASEAN-Australia Centre and managed by Asialink Education at the University of Melbourne, with the goal of promoting relationships between educational personnel and students from Australia and ASEAN, and fostering continuous school-to-school cooperation. For the 2026-2027 cycle, a total of 30 schools will be selected: 15 from Australia and 15 from Southeast Asia. Each selected school will nominate one representative teacher and eight students to participate in program-defined activities. A deputy government spokesperson highlighted that the BRIDGE program serves as a crucial platform for Thai teachers and students to broaden their learning horizons, encounter peers from different countries, exchange perspectives, and learn about linguistic and cultural differences.
