This statement was made on the morning of July 14, 2026, during a farewell meeting with His Excellency Dr. NET Savoeun, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the National Authority for Combating Drugs, as Ambassador Ueno concluded his tenure in Cambodia. The Ambassador expressed high regard for Cambodia's strengthened operations to crack down on online scamming locations, particularly through rapid measures taken by both the Cambodian National Police and the Inter-Ministerial Commission for Combating Cyber Fraud.
