Myanmar Seizes Nearly 20kg Heroin, 1 Million Stimulant Pills in Drug Crackdown

Myanmar authorities have seized approximately 17.6 kilograms of heroin and 1 million stimulant pills during two separate anti-drug operations in Mandalay Region and Naypyidaw, according to a report by Xinhua News Agency on July 31. The Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control stated that on July 28, anti-narcotics forces searched four motorcycles in Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region, seizing 17.6kg of heroin and arresting four suspects. In another operation on July 23, police confiscated 1 million stimulant pills in Naypyidaw and detained five suspects.
