DSWD Distributes Over P618.3M Aid to Flood-Hit Central Luzon

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has distributed over P618.3 million in humanitarian assistance to individuals affected by flooding in Central Luzon, Malacañang said Tuesday. “Ayon sa ulat ni Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian, umabot sa mahigit P618.3 million na halaga ng humanitarian assistance ang naihatid sa mga apektadong lalawigan sa Central Luzon gaya ng Tarlac, Pampanga at Bulacan,” Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro said in a press briefing. (According to Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian, more than P618.3 million worth of humanitarian assistance has been delivered to affected provinces in Central Luzon, including Tarlac, Pampanga, and Bulacan.) “Sa buong Region III naman ay umaabot sa mahigit 874.8 million pesos ang halaga ng naipaabot na tulong. Kasama sa mga interventions ang pamamahagi ng family food packs, ready-to-eat foods, non-food items at AICS,” she added. Castro further reported that DSWD also deployed its specialized disaster response vehicle and three mobile kitchens to the affected areas.
