Pattaya Marathon Route Finalized Amidst Roadworks

PATTAYA, Thailand – With just days to go before the Amazing Thailand Pattaya Marathon 2026 presented by MAMA, Chonburi Governor Naris Niramaiwong and Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet inspected a section of Pattaya Second Road on September 24 to check preparations for the two-day race. The inspection covered about 500 metres of Pattaya Second Road between Central Pattaya and the Ali Maho intersection, where road improvement work is still underway and forms part of the marathon route. The officials, accompanied by the race organizing team, checked the road surface and remaining work following concerns about runner safety. Preparations along the route are now more than 90% complete, with Pattaya City officials working to finish the remaining details before race weekend. Mayor Poramet said that, if weather conditions remain favorable, the work should be completed according to plan. The city has also prepared contingency measures to address any issues that may affect the route. He said the current road conditions remain suitable for the race, while officials will continue checking and improving individual sections to ensure the route is as safe as possible for runners. The final inspection comes ahead of the Amazing Thailand Pattaya Marathon 2026, which will take place on September 26–27, bringing runners onto Pattaya’s streets for one of the city’s major sporting events. Officials will continue monitoring the route and completing the remaining work in the final days before the starting gun.
