Prabowo Pledges to Balance Economic Growth and Justice, Says PKB Chairman Cak Imin

Muhaimin Iskandar, Chairman of the Indonesian National Awakening Party (PKB), also known as Cak Imin, stated that President Prabowo Subianto is genuinely committed to balancing economic growth with equitable distribution for the people. During his speech at the 28th anniversary of PKB held at the Jakarta Convention Center, Cak Imin said, "We witness President Prabowo truly aligning economic growth with equitable distribution and justice." He explained that the government's current efforts are part of refining the direction towards economic independence, ensuring economic activities benefit the entire population. "This is our sincere commitment to further advance all steps as part of refining the direction of our economic independence," Cak Imin stated. Furthermore, he emphasized that this commitment "arises from the deepest hearts of the ulema (Islamic scholars) who have long yearned for the people in the villages and all corners of the archipelago to directly feel the benefits of the economy." Cak Imin also pointed out that President Prabowo has set a new direction for the state budget (APBN), mentioning a shift in budget policy. This suggests that economic policy is moving towards not only growth targets but also consideration for social justice, aligning with Indonesia's traditional values and the lived experiences of many citizens in rural areas.
