Cambodian People's Party Inspects Local Party Work, Emphasizes Local Development and Unity for Future Elections

On the morning of Saturday, July 18, 2026, Deputy Minister Thao Cheththa, a member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and Vice Chairman of the working group for Kampong Thom Province, led a delegation to meet and greet party leaders from 10 villages in Chhnak Rum Commune, Stoeng District, Kampong Thom Province. During the meeting, Deputy Minister Thao Cheththa conveyed greetings and well wishes from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the CPP and President of the Senate of Cambodia, and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia and Vice President of the CPP, to the party leaders and all attendees. The Deputy Minister praised and highly commended the achievements of the party's working group in Chhnak Rum Commune, particularly in the repair and improvement of various infrastructure such as water canals, roads, toilets, schools, health centers, and pagodas. He encouraged the working group to continue actively participating in resolving the difficulties faced by the people, as well as to continue providing support to poor families, the elderly, mothers with newborns, vulnerable families, bereaved families, families of front-line soldiers, and families of migrant workers, among others. In addition, Deputy Minister Thao Cheththa expressed his hope and confidence that all party members and working group members will continue to unite and act as one strong force, serving as a solid backbone for the people. He urged them to successfully implement the strategic plans that have been laid out in preparation for the upcoming elections in 2027 and 2028. As of early June 2026, Chhnak Rum Commune has a total population of 16,048 people, with 6,518 CPP members, equivalent to 2,609 party families.
