PM Proud of Thai National Anthem Heard Abroad, Pledges Sports Support

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin stated that he feels immense pride every time the Thai national anthem is heard playing abroad. This is particularly meaningful when athletes win championships and the national anthem is played, a sentiment he believes is shared by many Thais abroad. Regarding support for the national women's volleyball team, the Prime Minister affirmed full backing. He emphasized that the government's policy is to support individuals and teams with potential in all fields, helping them enhance their capabilities and skills to reach world-class status. He noted that this approach has already resulted in Thai golfers, snooker players, and athletes in various other disciplines ranking among the world's best. The souvenirs presented to the athletes were keychains and pens from the Prime Minister's Office. Addressing the possibility of a reception for the athletes, the Prime Minister mentioned that the national women's volleyball team has already departed for Japan for training camp ahead of the Asian Games in Nagoya. He acknowledged that many athletes are still recovering from fatigue and physical strain from previous competitions, urging the public to recognize their dedication and understand that they are competing with less than 100% physical condition but still strive to bring victory to the nation.
