Cambodian Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, Hang Thula, met with Morimachi Mayor Ota Yasuo on October 21, 2026, to discuss expanding employment opportunities and strengthening protections for Cambodian workers in Japan. Both sides also exchanged views on promoting cultural exchange and improving the welfare of Cambodian workers in Japan.
