Russian Navy Ship Departs Cambodia After Two-Day Visit

A Russian Federation Navy ship safely departed from Cambodia's territorial waters off Sihanoukville province on the afternoon of September 12, 2026, after completing a two-day official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia. The vessel had docked at the Autonomous Port of Sihanoukville to conduct studies, research, and strengthen friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the navies of both countries, as well as their governments. This official visit underscored further progress in the bilateral maritime partnership between Russia and Cambodia, reflecting a shared commitment to professional naval cooperation. The visit also aimed to expand cooperation in maritime security and humanitarian assistance. During their two-day stay in Cambodia, the Russian Navy delegation paid courtesy calls on the leadership of Sihanoukville province, the leadership of the Autonomous Port of Sihanoukville, and the commander of the Ream Naval Base. The vessel, identified as PEREKOP (number 310), is a Medium sea tanker, measuring 138 meters in length, 18 meters in width, with a draft of 6 meters.
